Summary in English

I have set up these sides to give some information about my ancestors. I originally started with my grandparents on my mothers and my fathers side. But after a while I decided to put up some information about my parents and their siblings also. My mother was born Åse Endrerud, and my father was born Even Sandvik. So I called the domain Sandvikslekt.com and the pages Sandvik/Endrerudslekt.

The name Sandvik is from a farm in Stryn (Oppstryn) in Western Norway where my grandfather Kolbein Sandvik was born. He came to Kristiania (Oslo) in 1904, and started a music-store business which was in business until 1963. He was married to Anna Evensen who was born in Kristiania. Her parents came from Eastern Norway (The Follo district and Hedrum in Vestfold county)

The Name Endrerud is from a farm in Nordre Land community in Eastern Norway (Nordsinni district). The Endrerud farm is now extinct, but the Endrerud family also bought the Esbjug farm in the same district, and is still owned by the Endreruds. My grandfather Hans Christian Endrerud was born in Kristiania, but his father came from Nordre Land/Endrerud. My grandfather was a fotball player as well as a factory owner. He was married to Eugenie (Ninni) Hanssen, who was born in Sponviken near Halden in the south-eastern part of Norway. Her father was a vicar, and her mother was from the Munch genus.

So the Sandvik branches are all from Stryn.

The Evensen branches are from the Follo, Sørum and Hedrum districts.

The Endrerud branches is mainly from Nordre Land/Nordsinni/Dokka and Toten.

The Hanssen branches is from Kongsberg, Røros, Vågå, Drammen, Ringerike, Christiania/Kristiania, and Frederikshald (Halden)

Districts = in Norwegian is Steder.
